Amy was born in North Carolina, but she and her husband, Pastor Todd Bell, moved to East Millinocket, Maine, in 1996 where they started and established the Tri Town Baptist Church. She and Pastor Todd Bell have four children: Elisabeth, Benjamin, Cherith, and Abigail along with three grandchildren. Amy moved to Sanford in 2003, with her husband Todd, and established the Calvary Baptist Church of Sanford.

With a passion for education, Amy homeschooled her children for ten years. In 2010, Pastor and Amy Bell started the Sanford Christian Academy, and Amy has spent the last fourteen years advocating for quality educational options for Sanford kids as the administrator.

Amy is running for State Representative to continue to serve her community and focus on finding solutions for young Sanford families such as strengthening our education system, providing affordable housing, and reducing the impacts of sky-high inflation. As a mom and grandmother, Amy understands that Maine families are struggling to get by, and we must prioritize the needs of Maine families first. Amy, along with her family, has called Maine home for the last twenty-eight years. Amy Bell has a heart for the people of Maine and looks forward to serving Sanford in House District 142.
